OK so i just came back from London two weeks ago...and all i can say is wow....not what i expected....London really is overrated...its very crowded and the English are rude in a condescending way....i really have nothing Good to say about London....it seriously is worse than living in Lagos....too many people, dirty ( for western standards) and the life there is just too hard to handle....But let me begin with my first impression and go from there. I arrived at the heathrow airport on the 15th of November and i was at the third terminal....the first thing i thought was wow.....this airport reminds me of the Lagos airport....and then it hit me....Nigerians were colonised by the British....everything suddenly made sense...the airport was very similar to the Lagos airport...except there was constant electricity, it wasn't hot and humid...and there were not hundreds of people waiting outside to steal your bags....or people were not rushing to claim their luggage before someone else intentionally claimed it. The British are also very proper and i got this impression as soon as i landed. i think this is the reason why Nigerians are proper ( or the Nigerian system).....We Nigerians are proper or we have a culture of being proper but i think corruption has severely eroded this quality in the Nigerian system....Now all we have is a system that is seems proper initially but because of the endemic corruption in Nigeria, no ones follows the rules anymore.

Anyways that was my first impression and it slowly became worse, taxis are ridiculously expensive in the UK, the houses are small...and people are barely just getting by..... I think it truly is a sad system.....but what do i know...i was just a tourist...

On a lighter note i visited other parts of the UK, i went to Brighton which to me is almost the equivalent of heaven on earth. I was able to see the sun setting on the British channel ( ocean) and it was a breath taking view....i wish i could see that everyday......I also love Brighton because it reminds me of Montreal....it has culture.... and is truly a beautiful city.Here is a pic of a beautiful Brighton sunset

I also went to wales...and i loved it...it was a breathe of fresh air...after a week of being in London and experiencing chronic rudeness...i used to think that Canadians were the nicest people in the world...but guess what Canada u got competition....and the country is simply beautiful...i got some nice pics as well....

So anyways i had a good time in the UK ( hated London) but i got to see my family members that i had not seen in forever and i loved that a lot....The real reason i went to the UK was for my sis grad...and she graduated with a distinction in masters in public health ( congrats sis)...here are the best pics of the bunch
