until the end of time
nowadays people blurb out the word love like a freelance journalist blurts out the word travel....its actually quite fashionable to be in love or to call someone your lover....often times love is equated with the feeling one get when most of the blood is their system is shunted to those very intimate organs housed in the groin area. Don't get me wrong we need more love in this world....cos there is just way too much hate and hateration going on. I am going to go gospel.....there is that love that Jesus advocates, the love that Buddha endorses and Gandhi lived by....that we need more of....that loves needs to be screamed from every rooftop like an overzealous evangelist or a new Born again
being a nurse i consider it an honor to see love in my work almost everyday...of course i also see drama, hate and just plain ridiculousness (prolly not a word), but when ever i come across true love between a man and a woman or even a woman and a woman (not seen between two men yet....) i feel quite honoured.what is love, well Love is 1st Corinthians 12 (Thank God for google...lol)...love is saying those vows and 60 years down the road still meaning it. Love is the 97 year old sitting by his wife's bedside, holding her wrinkled hand and crying ( i take that back) weeping when she says she just wants to die....it is a partner coming to the hospital everyday for over three years to talk to and see their lover who is more like a vegetable than a person. love is the wife of 50 years coming to see her husband every morning to perform his morning wash, feed him and attend him....that his love and i really hope our generation understands that...so next time u say you love someone think of them old, ugly and sick as hell....would you still see them the same, love them the same....just a thought....xoxo....
