somewhere between 1920 and now....
chilvary has been lost
forgotten and never to be remembered
never to be experienced this and future generations

whatever happened to opening doors
to flowers just because
to treating your lady like a queen....
and just plain old common sense

whatever happened to be considerate
helping out with the bags without being asked
to respect, love and just sheer adoration
to being a gentleman without ulterior motives...

what ever happened to love peoms
to love letters and breakfast in bed
to catering to her every need....
and never cursing at or using a foul word on your lady


yes chilvary.....my dear chilvary is no more...
only left to be experienced in romantic novels and fantasy stories....
but my dear chilvary...did you ever exist...
or were you just a figment of my imagination

yes....somewhere in time...its been lost
and never to be found again.....
