Gbedu! that irresistible vibe of celebration and joy

Hello, Beautiful People! I’ve missed a few days of my gratitude journal, but guess what? Life has been busy in the most wonderful way! You know, sometimes when we get caught up in the flow of things, it's because we're basking in the blessings of gratitude. I’ve been spending time with my family, soaking in love, laughter, and what we Nigerians call Gbedu—that irresistible vibe of celebration and joy. So today, let’s keep this streak of gratitude going strong! I’m feeling especially grateful for my roots. I’m an Urhobo and Itsekiri girl, and also proudly Yoruba, married to an Itsekiri man. All of these cultures weave together so beautifully in my life, each one bringing its own richness and vibrance. Today, I want to honor these cultures that have shaped me. I’m deeply thankful for the generations who have preserved these traditions, passing them down like precious gems. It’s my hope that my children, and their children, will carry these cultures with pride and curiosity, always knowing where they come from. Here’s to heritage, to love, and to all the Gbedu life brings our way! Hello, Beautiful People! I’ve missed a few days of my gratitude journal, but guess what?
