out with the old....n in with the new
you know how they say that to get a new car u have to pun the old one...or to have a new start you have to throw out the old one and make room for the new one...well that how i feel....i feel as if i have to get rid of all the old clutter in my closet and get something new...maybe some designer clothing...something better, straightforward and not so confusing...i have to throw out that old comfortable couch and get me some new couch...and i have to cross my fingers and hope that i am as comfortable in the new one.....but
there is always a but....there is always doubt...fear...uncertainty...emotions that make us cling to the old....the oh so familiar...comfortable and maybe not so good...old stuff...the old stuff that comforts us when we sad....that cares for us when we sick...that old couch that has been out buddy on cold rainy days when we feel like crap....yes we cling to the old...not because we love the old...but because we cant imagine our lives without the old....the truth is this...u cannot imagine something you have not experienced...u can daydream...hope...maybe think you have an idea of what it would be like....but we simply cannot imagine... truly imagine... truly feel every emotion....everything we would see...hear...feel...touch...taste if we actually live or experience the new...so the old binds us down...with imaginary chains...made of copper steel....and aluminium.....
yes...we never know what we will get with the new....you might love it at first...that is always almost a certainty....or those sales people will make you think that you love what you getting...but....will you feel good...or better than you felt...will that new car treat you well or will you spend all your weekends chilling with the mechanic from around the block...fixing surprises...defects...and the unexpected, not apparent at first...would that new couch be oh so lovely...or would time take its toll on it and make it an expensive piece of thrash
yep...in with the new....throw that reliable junk out.
that old piece of art that caresses your vision at first glance...but boggles your mind with close observation...its like that song...that song you heard and fell in love with it immediately...you put it on repeat....and replay it even when you sleep...u hear it from a distance in your dream...an echo from a familiar place...but u soon tire of it....u need something new...a new song perhaps...so u put it on the shelf....let it sit for a while...cos its old and not so tantalizing...time passes...and one day....u stumble across it...you are in love again...it evokes all those emotions...and you remember why...it was and is still your favorite song
so tell me
tell me....should i throw the old out and make room for the new
A friend once said...your heart is like a small treasure chest...you have to first throw out its old content to accommodate the new.....
i ask...is that true....is the heart so limitless....or is it like the universe with lots of room to hold both the old and the new....
xoxo people.....

Yes,I think I'll hearts are like the universe, they can accommodate all the stuff in the world. But for our sake, we have to downsize the negative and cling to new and positive things.
