Find God

There is not one way to God

don’t let the christians tell you this
don’t accept it from the muslims
or the sikh, buddhist, or african spiritualist

we are all heirs to the Kingdom
every one of us is a child of God

my heart aches for those who reject God
because of what they have been told
they reject themselves
the love that dwells within
the love that they are

I have chosen to seek for God
within the framework of christianity
I have a deep love for Jesus
my teacher
my senior brother
I depend on what Christians call the Holy Spirit

but this is open to each and every one of us

find God in your own way
but whatever you do,
know the fruits of your Father

the fruits are love
peace
joy
non-judgement
and the sharing of this with others

it is the rejection of the ego
and the turning inward
to find the I AM

it is being still
and listening to the GOOD
that lies within

so no—
God is far too big
to be held by one religion
one thought system
or one ethnicity

God is for you
for me
and for every being
that has ever walked the face of this
and every planet

He is our inheritance.
